Balaghat (Madhya Pradesh), Jul 27:  Arunachal Pradesh began their campaign in the National Football Championship for Dr. BC Roy Trophy 2025 (Tier-2) with a commanding 4–1 victory over Uttarakhand, marking a strong start to their journey in this prestigious youth tournament.
The team displayed excellent coordination and attacking prowess throughout the match, dominating proceedings from the first whistle. Nounou Lupheng, Lokam Raktom, Nabam Tagia and Kido Ete were the goal scorers for Arunachal Pradesh.
The spirited performance by the young squad has set a promising tone for the remainder of the tournament. The state team is now preparing for their next crucial group stage clash against Sikkim, slated for July 29.
The Arunachal Pradesh Football Association (APFA) has congratulated the players and coaching staff and has urged supporters to continue backing the team as they strive for further success in the championship.
