ITANAGAR, Aug 10:Dera Natung Government College, Itanagar, hosted the annual orientation cum felicitation programme today for the second consecutive year.

Three categories of toppers were felicitated. All five semester toppers of BA (Bos Frontalis Award), B.Com (Hornbill Award) and B.Sc. (Foxtail Orchid Award) under Student’s Academic Performance Credit (SAPC) of the college were felicitated.

A scheme innovated by the present Principal last year where the admission fees of students for that particular semester is waived off. Under this award 16 students were felicitated. All the rank holders (37 in total) from the College in RGU Exam-2017 both overall and subject wise toppers were also felicitated. Ms. Dekey Chumku got 1^st rank in B.Sc. Overall. The Principal’s Merit Award for 2017 was given to Ms. Ankita Dey (BA), Nang Nomita Munglang (B.Com) and Ms. Dekey Chumku (B.Sc.) for being the College Topper in each stream.

Director Higher and Technical Education, Dr. Tayek Talom attended the function as the chief guest.
