Anini, Aug 25: A meeting of the District Planning Committee (DPC) of Dibang Valley district for the preparation and approval of the Gram Panchayat Development Plans (GPDPs) and Zilla Parishad Development Plan (ZPDP) for the financial year 2026–27 was held at Anini on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Yashwant Meena.

Addressing the gathering, ADC Jally Umpo underscored the importance of the DPC in promoting coordinated, inclusive and need-based development planning at the grassroots level.

ZPC Sadhu Mihu apprised the committee of various developmental schemes and programmes and called upon all stakeholders to work in close coordination to ensure that the benefits of development reach every village and household of the district. He also urged the ZPMs and Member Secretaries to extend necessary guidance and support to the GPMs and GPCs in the preparation and implementation of development plans.

During the meeting, the respective Member Secretaries presented their proposals before the committee. Following detailed deliberations, the schemes and proposals were unanimously approved.

Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner called upon all Panchayati Raj representatives to discharge their responsibilities with greater coordination, transparency and commitment towards the overall development and welfare of the people. He further directed all technical departments to provide timely technical guidance and necessary support to the GPMs and other Panchayati Raj Institutions to facilitate proper planning and ensure quality implementation of developmental works.

The meeting was attended by Heads of Departments, all ZPMs, officials, Panchayati Raj functionaries and concerned staff, among others.
