YUPIA, Jun 21: The Annual Action Plan 2023-24 of the Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank-Rural Self Employment Training Institute (APRB-RSETI) was approved during the district level advisory committee held at Yupia on Wednesday.
RSETI located in Yupia, provides employment oriented skills, creates awareness on self employment, entrepreneurship development and handholds the trainees for establishment of enterprises and credit linkages with banks.
The Annual Action Plan for the financial year 2023-24 which targets to train 392 people during a span of 303 days in various skills was approved after detailed deliberations by the advisory committee members.
Deputy Commissioner Papum Pare, Cheechung Chukhu, who is also the Chairman of the APRB-RSETI while lauding the efforts of the institute in enhancing inclusivity, skill development within the local community and fostering sustainable rural self-employment leading to a vibrant economic growth, emphasized on the need to create more awareness about the institution and the skill training programmes it offers.
He suggested for roping in the services of administrative officers posted across the district in circulating information regarding the training schedules and interviews and further directed the RSETI to  participate in the 'Seva Apke Dwar' camp organised by the District Administration.
Balaban Deory, Director, APRB-RSETI called for collaboration and convergence of various training and IEC programs of APRB-RSETI and agri allied sectors such as horticulture, veterinary, fisheries etc in providing effective support and opportunities to targeted individuals and communities.
He also presented the performance report of the year 2022-23. He informed that 384 unemployed youths were trained under 17 different programs over a period of 273 days.
During the discussions that followed later, the committee members  assessed the challenges encountered by RSETI in conducting training programs and providing post-training support and credit linkages to the trainees. The committee further decided to intensify the IEC for RSETI through audio visual contents and hold awareness programs at the block level by roping in SHGs.
