PASIGHAT, Jan 21: The State Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj (SIRD & PR), in collaboration with the District Administration is conducting a three-day District Level Refresher Training on the People's Plan Campaign (PPC), Participatory Development Index (PDI), and Localization of Sustainable Development Goals (LSDG) at the DC's Conference Hall. The aim of the program l is to enhance the preparation of Gram Panchayat Development Plans (GPDP) and District Panchayat Development Plans (DPDP) for East Siang District. EAC (Dev) Olak Apang who chaired the inaugural session today stressed on the importance of Planning & Training in every aspect of life especially in democratic governance.
PD-cum-DPDO Tajing Padung, while welcoming all the participants at the inaugural session, briefed about the aim and objective and benefit of the training program. The training program is being led by SW Bagang, Assistant Director-cum-Course Coordinator, SIRD & PR, Arunachal Pradesh, and SKundu, Consultant, NIRD & PR, Hyderabad. 
Gram Panchayat Chairpersons (GPCs) and Members (GPMs) from Bogong-I, Bogong-II, Bosing-I and Bosing-II, Member Secretaries (GP), local Self-Governance Committee membersand frontline workers from various line departments and representatives from Self-Help Groups (SHGs) are actively participating.
The highlight of the training programme are Introduction to the People's Plan Campaign and constitutional provisions, stakeholders’ roles and the GPDP preparation process including discussions on LSDG themes such as poverty-free, health-friendly, and child-friendly villages.
