YUPIA, Dec 14: A three-day district level orientation programme on Localisation of Sustainable Development Goals (LSDGs) in compliance with the People Plan Campaign (PPC) 2023-24 was inaugurated by ZPC, Papum Pare, Chukhu Bablu in presence of Deputy Commissioner Sachin Rana at Yupia today.
The training organised by the State Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj (SIRD) in collaboration with the District Administration, Papum Pare seeks to ensure participatory and comprehensive Gram Panchayat Development Plan(GPDP) and District Panchayat Development Plan(DPDP) in a time bound manner across the district,  evidence based assessment of progress made during the previous years and strengthening the role of elected representatives and women in the SHGs under DAY-NRLM, Sectoral working committee /groups.
Delivering the keynote address, the DC said that the training provides a platform for the PRI members to directly interact with all the HoDs implementing various central and state sponsored schemes, which would help in formulation of better, convergent and sustainable village development plans.
The ZPC urged the participants to utilize the opportunity to learn about the schemes implemented by the line departments and undertake discourses to avoid duplication and overlapping of schemes.
Dr. Mihin Lali , Course Director cum Asst. Director , SIRD &PR while briefing about the training programme informed that besides presentation of  schemes by the line departments which could be converged with GPDP, discussions on the LSDGs,15th FC ( Tied, Untied and Health grants), role of SHGs in Village Poverty Reduction Plan(VPRP) , Sustainable Goals (2030) etc will also be held during the training.
“A hands on participatory planning process activities shall also be held besides the orientation on various themes of LSDGs and other social and financial inclusion programs through the line departments," he further informed.
EAC cum DPDO Dr. Nikita Panggam, HoDs , ZPMs, around 100 PRI members and  SHG members attended the inaugural programme.
