Roing, Jul 18: District Level Monitoring Committee of Lower Dibang Valley district today conducted a marathon session of meetings to review the status of various developmental schemes as well as the precautionary measures to be undertaken for Japanese Encephalitis here in presence of Deputy Commissioner Mitali Namchoom, administrative officers and HoDs.
Physical and financial achievements of the schemes under ACA, SCA, NEC, NLCPR, RIDF, BADP, PMGSY, SADA, SIDF, CMDI&CF, Untied Fund (specific) along with other major state sponsored schemes, department-wise project proposals for 2019-20, State Budget highlights and JE fight back measures were reviewed.
DC reminded the works departments to inform the administrative officers about all the projects being implemented so that quality of works can be properly checked and verified.
She also cautioned the works executing departments to propose projects related to their departments only and propose projects of other departments only when specifically asked, so as to avoid duplication and overlapping.
Points such as necessity for consultation with the administration for site selection of building works so that town/village planning can be properly done instead of haphazard construction, which often poses problems in future were highlighted by the administrative officers during the meeting.
DPO Marto Dirchi elaborated the district provisions under State Budget 2019, while DVBDCPO Dr. N. Yirang informed about Japanese Encephalitis and the precautionary measures to be undertaken to safeguard the district against it. DIPRO
