Roing, Jun 24: DISHA, the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee Meeting for Eastern region of Arunachal Pradesh was held today to review and monitor the implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes in the districts. Chaired by MP(East) Tapir Gao, the meeting was attended by MLAs Laisam Simai, Jummum Ete Deori, Dasanglu Pul, Gabriel D. Wangsu, Somlung Mossang, Tangpho Wangnaw and Mutchu Mithi, along with Director(RD) Kego Jilen, representatives from MoRD and SBI and DCs and PDs/DPOs of Lohit, Anjaw, Lower Dibang Valley, Dibang Valley, East Siang, Upper Siang, Siang, Longding, Changlang, Tirap and Namsai districts at Roing.
MP Tapir Gao called the DISHA meeting an opportunity for all to put in a collective effort to correct the mistakes made and streamline the development efforts going on in the districts. He advised all present to work in an energetic and responsible manner for the people who have put their trust on the government, to ensure the delivery of benefits to the masses. 
The MP emphasised on the implementation of welfare schemes like PM Matru Vandana Yojana, Janani Suraksha Yojana, Dulari Kanya Yojana etc put in place to benefit the womenfolk and children, saying that no one should be deprived of the schemes due to lack of information dissemination and knowledge about the schemes. He also stressed on the correct implementation of social assistance and poverty alleviation schemes.
"We have to work as ‘Team Arunachal’ to ensure wide coverage of CSS in the state and work towards timely data update in the Ministry’s web portal to reflect the true progress of work done in each district, to ensure the continuation and fund allocation under the schemes," Gao added.
The MLAs stressed on the need to improve the services provided by the banks, especially State Bank of India and the need to open additional branches of the bank in many parts of the state. They stated that many schemes are credit linked schemes and banks are delaying or rejecting the applications of many, which is hampering in the implementation of the schemes. 
The Deputy Commissioners highlighted the performance of the respective districts in the implementation of MGNREGA, PMAY(Gramin), PMAY(Urban), NSAP, JJM, Digital India, Infrastructure related programmes, PMEGP, SVAMITVA, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, One Nation One Ration Card, Ayushmann Bharat PM Jan Aarogya Yojana and Ayushmann Bharat Health and Wellness Centre etc. 
Director(RD) Kego Jilen gave a presentation on the implementation of central schemes in the state and representative of MoRD Dhirendra Kumar on the findings of the monitoring team of MoRD during their visit to the districts.
