PANGIN, Jul 19:A four-day long awareness-cum-training programme on disaster management organized by District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) in collaboration with C-Coy 12th Battalion NDRF, Doimukh successfully concluded today.

The programme was aimed to sensitize and equip all officers of all line departments in the district with adequate knowledge to tackle any untoward situation or incident.

Chairing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Rahul Singh highlighting the objective of the programme said that the programme was a part of district administration to impart firsthand knowledge on disaster management to departments under the district.

Underscoring that being the first respondent the role of nodal officers is very crucial, he urged all to actively participate in such programmes and to practically apply the knowledge gained and its further dissemination.

Disaster management officials during the four-day long programme demonstrated exercises and presented detailed presentation on various topics like emergency rescue techniques, First Aid, Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation and choking, family preparedness during disasters etc.
