Itanagar, Oct 31: A retirement farewell ceremony in honour of Marbang Ezing, Deputy Director, was held today at the Directorate of Information and Public Relations (Soochna Bhawan), Itanagar.
The event was chaired by Secretary IPR Nyali Ete and attended by Under Secretary Bishwajit Goswami, Director IPR Gijum Tali, along with officers and staff members of the Soochna Bhawan.
The program began with a welcome address by Dengia Bengia, Deputy Director, IPR, followed by speeches from the Secretary, Director and other officers and staff. They fondly recalled their experiences with Marbang Ezing, appreciating his professionalism, dedication and the invaluable role he played as a mentor, colleague and friend throughout his illustrious career.
In his farewell address, Marbang Ezing reflected on his remarkable journey, beginning with his appointment as DIPRO at Tezu on 16th May 1994, and his subsequent promotion to Deputy Director on 14th August 2023. He retired on 31st October 2025 upon superannuation, marking the completion of 31 years, 5 months, and 15 days of distinguished service.
Expressing gratitude, Ezing thanked all the officers and staff of the Directorate for their constant support, cooperation and affection throughout his tenure. He also extended an apology for any unintended harshness in his conduct during the course of his duties, emphasizing that it stemmed from a sense of responsibility and concern as a senior officer.
Ezing also served as the Festival Director of the highly successful Arunachal Literature Festival (2022-2024) and Arunachal Film Festival (2022-2024), both of which are annually organized by the Directorate of Information and Public Relations.
The ceremony concluded with warm wishes and heartfelt tributes from colleagues and staff, celebrating his long and successful career in public service.
