Anini, Jul 4: Dibang Valley District Commissioner Bekir Nyorak has underscored the urgent necessity for adopting a sustainable approach in the implementation of government projects and infrastructure, aiming to fulfill the district's holistic development goals. During his inaugural monthly District Level Monitoring Committee (DLMC) meeting, he emphasised the importance of inter-departmental coordination to align and elevate development initiatives.
Key departments such as PWD, RWD, UD & Housing, PHE & WS, and Power presented detailed PowerPoint presentations outlining the current status of their ongoing projects.
The DC expressed urgent concerns about water quality, urging the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) to accelerate their efforts in delivering safe and clean drinking water to the residents of Dibang Valley—a fundamental necessity for the well-being of the community.
Additionally, the DC announced that future meetings will not be confined to the conference hall; instead, on-site visits will be integral to quality assurance. He urged departments to adhere strictly to standards in quality, design, and structural integrity. He pledged his full support, contingent on the departments’ efficient execution of their responsibilities, and called for the development of a comprehensive Action Plan across all sectors to accelerate project timelines.
Furthermore, he directed Circle Officers to conduct quarterly Circle Level Monitoring Committee (CLMC) meetings and report their findings back to the DC’s office.
