Anini, Jun 12: In a proactive move to uphold the provisions of the Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation, the Dibang Valley District Police, under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Manish Shaurya, conducted a robust Inner Line Permit (ILP) checking operation in Anini.
The drive was led by Officer-in-Charge of Anini Police Station, Lokmey Bolok, along with his team. During the operation, nine individuals were found residing in the area without valid ILPs. All violators were immediately detained and produced before the Executive Magistrate for legal action.
Following due proceedings, the Executive Magistrate imposed monetary fines on violators. In addition, employers and property owners associated with the violators were warned and directed to strictly ensure valid ILPs are obtained prior to employing or accommodating any non-local individuals.
The Dibang Valley Police has reiterated its firm commitment to enforce ILP regulations and has appealed to all residents, businesses, and visitors to strictly adhere to the legal requirements to avoid punitive measures.
