Anini, May 2: The Dibang Valley district administration today formally launched the field enumeration process for the House Listing and Housing Census 2027 at the Circuit House, Anini.
The programme was ceremonially flagged off by Mandeep Raj, Assistant Director, District Census Office, Arunachal Pradesh, in the presence of officials and field enumerators, marking the beginning of a vital district-wide exercise. The enumeration exercise was symbolically inaugurated with the listing of Dibang House, the official residence of the Deputy Commissioner, in the presence of the Deputy Commissioner, Bekir Nyorak.
Scheduled from May 1 to 30, the enumeration will span the length and breadth of Dibang Valley District, reaching every household to capture an authentic and comprehensive socio-economic snapshot. This crucial phase will serve as a cornerstone for informed planning, inclusive development, and responsive policy-making at both the state and national levels.
In this context, Tadang Rai, Additional District Census Officer, has appealed to the citizens of the district to extend their wholehearted cooperation to the enumerators and census personnel. He urged all residents to share accurate information and offer necessary assistance, ensuring that the exercise reflects the true spirit and realities of the district.
