AALO, Jun 6: A meeting was convened between Commandant 44HQ BRTF Aalo and Deputy Commissioner Shi Yomi, Mito Dirchi where issues pertaining to Tato-Mechuka Road were discussed elaborately and the ways and means to improve the road conditions for commuters in the backdrop of massive formation cutting by the contractors during this monsoon. Another prominent point of discussion was on acquisition of land for construction of double lane road from Pene village to Tato headquarters in the Kaying-Tato road.
Speaking on the subject, the Deputy Commissioner reiterated that the public notice for claims and objection in this regard has been issued and placed in public domain at Tato and made known to all those residing outside of the district through print and electronic media. He further said that the structures which have been constructed on both sides of the Pene-Tato road for the sole purpose of claiming compensation has not been assessed and not included in the cost estimation forwarded to the state government and the BRTF authorities. The aggrieved persons could, however, go to the court of law for redressal of their grievances, if any, he added.
