Deomali, Jul 1:  A long-nurtured desire of the people of Soha circle was fulfilled today with the flagging off of a 25 km road bus service by Minister for PHED Wangki Lowang.
The transport bus service from Deomali to Soha will cater to the needs of the people of this circle comprising the ten villages of Soha, New Doidam, Old Doidam, Turet, New Phingthing, Old Phingthing, Barak, Dongron, Thalot and Kanon with a total population of more than 3082. 
The Minister said that the long felt need of transport bus service in this route has been re-introduced after a gap of around five years and the previous service was discontinued due to non-availability of maintenance fund under transport department. The minister informed that many on-going projects like PMGSY roads from Namsang to Khela, RCC Bridge from Deomali to Wasathong is being carried out in full swing for which he urged the work agency to follow guidelines and complete the same in stipulated times and also added that he has initiated steps for maintenance of NH-315A - KBJ roads.
General Manager APSTS – Abu Tayeng appealed all to cooperate with the transport department in generating government revenue through bus tickets which will immensely help to sustain  the services. ADC Deomali Penga Tato praised the Minister for his prompt action for reviving the bus route adding that more than 3000 commuters will be benefitted. DIPRO
