KHONSA, Jul 22: Tirap Police has arrested two drug peddlers and seized suspected Heroin weighing 12 gms. The individuals have been identified as Huntu Gogoi (40) and Dipok Borah (38), both residents of Deomali.
The arrests came following a tip-off regarding movement of two drug peddlers from Margherita (Assam) to Deomali. A police team under the supervision of SP Tirap, Rahul Gupta, apprehended the duo on Saturday on the Margherita-Deomali route. On detailed search, a soap case of suspected Heroin was found concealed beneath the two-wheeler (scooty) seat. A case under NDPS Act has been registered at Deomali Police Station.
