Tezu, Apr 16: Shashvat Saurabh, DC District Election Officer, Lohit today briefed all the Sector Magistrate, Presiding officers, Polling officers regarding the various election related preparation, with special focus on dos and don’ts of the polling team.  He presented the ideal scenario and approach that should be followed by the polling team; a mock drill was also conducted in this regard.
Also, a briefing of political parties was done by the DEO Shashvat Saurabh IAS with regards to the SOPs that has to be followed in the next 72 hours and during the polling day. He cautioned anyone from violating the SOPs. Then he had a review meeting with FST/SST teams and also discussed the movement plan of the polling team.
Lastly, he gave a press briefing on the various aspects of election related preparation, general rules, regulations and the SOPs. He appealed to all the citizens, Political Parties and stakeholders of Lohit to maintain peace, harmony and mutual respect during the process election, he also appealed to each and every electorate to come out and vote.
The meeting was attended by the SP Tumme Amo, ADC Kunal Yadav, Asst. Commissioner, Kamaleswar Rao and all the other officials engaged in election duties.
