ITANAGAR, Mar 14: The Arunachal Anti-corruption Sena in a release has urged the state government to constitute full- fledged Lokayukta in the state to curb the menace of corruption.
Citing the lokayukta bill has been already passed in the year 2014 but not yet implemented, the union stated that the state government’s failure to implement lokayukta court is indirectly encouraging corruption activities in the state.
While referring to its PIL filed in the Gauhati High court against Public work department(PWD) for allegedly allowing tender works under (revised Estimate scheme) valued at Rs 400 crores through “pick and choose policy” without floating any tender, it urged the state government not to release (RES) funds haphazardly, except in emergency cases.
