Itanagar, Jul 21: As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen industry-aligned technical education, the Department of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (SDE), Government of Arunachal Pradesh, has initiated a 5-day “Institute-to-Industry Connect Orientation Program” at Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt.Ltd. (TKM), Bengaluru from July 21-25.
The delegation led by Sibo Passing, Director, SDE, comprises 15 participants from various Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across Arunachal Pradesh including 6 Principals, 1 Group Instructor, and 8 Instructors. The team was warmly welcomed by Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd. at the Toyota Technical Training Institute.
The program provides faculties of ITI a deep dive and direct exposure to shopfloor practices, bridges the gap between academic learning and industry expectations, and fosters a deeper understanding of industrial workplace culture. It supports curriculum enhancement by aligning instructional methods with current industry standards and keeps the faculty members updated on emerging technologies. As a result, ITIs are better equipped to mentor students, provide informed career guidance, and support skill development and project-based learning more effectively.
Speaking at the launch, Director emphasized that Deptof SDE, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh is committed to building a skilled workforce and expanding access to industry-integrated training opportunities for the youth of Arunachal Pradesh
This initiative marks a significant milestone in strengthening the capacity of technical educators, equipping them with industry-relevant knowledge and exposure that will directly enhance the learning experience and career readiness of trainees. By empowering faculty across ITIs, Arunachal Pradesh ensures that technical education remains innovative, future-focused, and aligned with the evolving industry demands.
