HAYULIANG, Jan 18: The Drug De-addiction-cum-Rehabilitation Centre of Anjaw district located here at Swamy Camp was operationalized today.
The centre is being managed by North Eastern Region Community Resource Management Project (NERCORMP) in partnership with Amik Matai Society, a local NGO with support from Arunachal Pradesh Drug De-Addiction Society, Directorate of Health Services. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Hayuliang Sub-division Sotailum Bellai, DMO Dr Bimol Ratan, Zilla Parishad Chairperson Sohai Ama, a host of panchayat leaders and staff of the centre attended the event. A total of 6 opium addicts mostly youths have been admitted in the 1st batch of the de-addiction programme. Tree plantation at the centre premises by the dignitaries was part of the event.  PR from Amik Matai Society
