ITANAGAR, Mar 19: In a major step towards boosting employment among the skilled youth of Arunachal Pradesh, the Arunachal Pradesh State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM) successfully hosted the DDU-GKY Job Fair 2025. The event aimed at providing job opportunities to candidates trained under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) witnessed an overwhelming response from job seekers and top industry employers.
The job fair was inaugurated by Teli Tada Camdir, a successful entrepreneur from Arunachal Pradesh and Managing Director of eight companies, attended the occasion as the Chief Guest. Camdir encouraged the youth to pursue their careers with dedication and passion. He also conducted an inspiring career counseling session, highlighting the numerous opportunities available in skill-based employment. Urging young professionals to embrace the changing job landscape, he emphasized the importance of determination, hard work, and adaptability in securing long-term success.
The CEO-cum-State Mission Director of ArSRLM expressed immense pride in the successful execution of the job fair, stating that the initiative aligns with the Prime Minister’s Viksit Bharat Mission, which envisions transforming India into a developed nation. She stressed that for true progress, a balanced relationship between employers and employees must be maintained, where both contribute to and benefit from each other’s growth. While urging candidates to approach their careers with seriousness and responsibility, she also called upon employers to ensure a supportive work environment, fair treatment, and growth opportunities for the workforce.
The COO (Skills) ArSRLM reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to bridging the gap between skilled individuals and potential employers. He stated that the DDU-GKY Job Fair is an essential step in ensuring that skill development efforts lead to tangible employment opportunities. He further stressed the importance of leveraging Arunachal Pradesh’s demographic dividend to drive economic progress and social development.
Nabam Ompi, SMM (MPB), ArSRLM, who acted as the Placement Incharge, ensured seamless coordination between employers and job seekers.
The event saw participation from eight leading companies, including NSDC International, Compass Group, All India Education Health and Social Development Council, Sri Saravana Mills Private Ltd, Jubilant FoodWorks Limited, Safe Express, Sahi Export, and SCM Garment. These companies actively engaged in interview processes with DDU-GKY trained candidates, who demonstrated their skills and preparedness for the job market.
The offer letter distribution ceremony, scheduled for tomorrow, will mark the conclusion of the two-day event,stated a release.
