PASIGHAT, Feb 28: Pasighat ADC Tatdo Borang today inaugurated Deen Dayyal Upadhaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) in the Mirbuk Musup, Pasighat. 
Speaking on the occasion, the ADC said that DDU-GKY being implemented by the Ministry of Rural Development was a placement linked skill development program for rural youth under National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) all over the country. The objective of the scheme is to provide short term training for fresh skilling of school drop outs and unemployed youth. It has been brought up with a mission to provide skill development training to the unskilled unemployed youths as a great source of empowerment. Every candidate undergoing training under DDU-GKY is given mandatory basic training on career progression enabling them to become employable in the open market besides strengthening a sense of confidence and self-esteem, stated Borang.
The ADC also threw light on role of Gram Panchayat and Women Self Help groups and appreciated the officials of Arunachal State Livelihood Mission (ArSLM) Block Mission Manager Rowncha Wangsu and Mission Executives Lappu Don and Koj Piya and their associates for organizing the awareness camp cum enrollment process in a befitting manner.
Other highlights of the day were presentations by Project Implementation Agencies (PIAs), panel discussion-open house and counseling session and enrollment etc.
