Bomdila, Apr 26: West Kameng Deputy Commissioner Dr. Dilip Kumar visited the Kameng Hydro Power Station (KaPHS,) at Kimi near here which is operated by NEEPCO Ltd on Saturday. He was accompanied by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Thrizino, Topek Kakki and Assistant Commissioner Buragaon.
During the visit, the DC interacted with the Head of Project (HoP) and other senior officials of KaHPS to review the functioning and ongoing activities of the project. Discussions were held on operational efficiency, power generation status, and issues pertaining to infrastructure and maintenance, and other key issues related to the project.
The DC emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of safety and effective coordination with the district administration. Matters related to local area development and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives were also discussed.
The DC emphasized the need for sustained environmental safeguards and strict adherence to regulatory norms in the ongoing operation and maintenance of the project.. He also took stock of the facilities available at KaPHS and reviewed the overall condition of the project site.
The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to extend all necessary support for the smooth functioning of the project.
