KOMKAR, May 27: The Deputy Commissioner, Upper Siang, Hage Lailang alongwith officers, PRI leaders, land donors and members of the Boiir Bane Kebang(BBK) of Komkar village visited the newly created Pobe Administrative Circle at Komkar area.
Located  more than 40 Kms away from headquarters Yingkiong, the said circle will be the 12th Administrative Circle headquarters of Upper Siang district and will cater to the needs of three villages of Komkar-Rasing, Sijer and Buksang. The DC inspected the area donated for the circle headquarters.
Congratulating the people of Pobe Administrative Circle, Lailang called upon the people to be vigilant and cooperate with each other for overall development of the circle besides calling them to maintain quality of works and judiciously utilize the fund sanctioned for creation of infrastructures. He also asked them to complete the work in time bound manner so as to make it functional as  soon as possible by posting officers and staff for  further development of the area. Speaking about importance of changing mindset, he also advised the people to try to move away from traditional thought patterns and accept new ideas and think for overall holistic development and welfare of the people.
Expressing his concern over the poor academic performance of government schools of Upper Siang in the recently declared AISSE and CBSE exam, he said that  education is one of the most important aspects of human resource development and " we need to seriously look into all aspects  to improve it and it is the responsibility of every stakeholder of society to work upon to address such issues."
Meanwhile Adv Vijay Taram, President Boiir Bane Kebang submitted six point memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner on important issues that concerns the village and its people pertaining to sanctioning funds for water supply of potable water to Pobe circle, electrification, etc.
 He further termed the visit as landmark event for Pobe circle and said that it was long felt demand of the public of the area to make the circle functional with proper infrastructures since it was approved by the state government in 2019.
