Namsai, Oct 17: The 7th District Task Force Immunization (DTFI) Meeting for the financial year 2025–26, cum Maternal Death Surveillance Review (MDSR) and Review of Other NHM Programme Activities was held today.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner, C.R. Khampa and attended by officials from the District Health Society, DRCHO, DMO, DTO, and other stakeholders.
Performance report for the first and second quarters of the current financial year was presented and various performance indices were analysed.
Further, the DTO reported increased screening activities for TB across the district. Under the National AIDS Control Programme, a total of 936 cases were detected so far, with 91 new cases reported till September 2025. The meeting also reviewed updates on the recent dengue outbreak and the measures undertaken for prevention and control.
In his concluding remarks, the Deputy Commissioner emphasised the need to reduce home deliveries and prevent maternal deaths. He urged the health officials to utilise the newly inaugurated Pratikshya (Child Birth Waiting Home) for the benefit of the public. He also advised the team to ensure necessary precautions are implemented to prevent any untoward incidents in the future.
