DAPORIJO, Dec 19: A meeting was held here today in the office chamber of the Deputy Commissioner, Danish Ashraf, to review the repair and maintenance work of TAH road from Sigin-Bridge, Daporijo-Dumporijo-Tai.
The Contractors highlighted various hardship faced by them while executing the maintenance works like local interference during the clearing of chocked culverts, earth cutting by individuals causing drain blockage and water leakage at several places of PHED pipelines. Hence, for smooth execution of the work they requested the district administration to take necessary action in this regard.
DC asked SDO J. Padung to issue an executive order prohibiting anyone from interfering in RoW of TAH and to take necessary legal action against those violating the order. Also, CRPF and Police personnel are to be deployed by SP, Daporijo as and when required during maintenance works, he directed.
He also asked the Contractors to increase the manpower and machinery for early completion of the maintenance work during the non-monsoon season and to submit weekly report about the work progress to the monitoring team headed by ADC Daporijo and ADC Dumporijo.
