Namsai, Aug 25: A District Level Monitoring Committee-cum-Departmental Review Meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Lobsang Tsering to review the progress of ongoing developmental works and assess the performance of various departments in the district.

The meeting commenced with a welcome address by the District Planning Officer (DPO), followed by detailed presentations from the participating departments. Heads and representatives from Health, Education, Library, Food & Civil Supplies, PHE & WS, APEDA, Power, PWD, RWD, Urban Affairs, Rural Development, Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries, NIC, IT & Communication, ArSRLM, Textile & Handicrafts, Industries, Veterinary, DDMO and Panchayat attended the meeting.

 

During the review, the departments presented the physical and financial progress of various schemes and projects being implemented in the district. They also apprised the committee of their ongoing activities, achievements, operational challenges and the status of works under execution.

Deputy Commissioner Lobsang Tsering reviewed the sector-wise progress and achievements and issued necessary directions to the concerned departments and executing agencies. He emphasized the need to ensure quality in the execution of developmental works, adhere strictly to stipulated timelines and strengthen inter-departmental coordination for effective and timely implementation of projects.

The Deputy Commissioner further stressed the importance of regular monitoring, transparency and fiscal responsibility in the implementation of government schemes and developmental programmes. 

The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the district administration’s commitment to transparent and accountable governance, improved revenue generation and accelerated, inclusive development across all sectors of Namsai district.
