PASIGHAT, Sep 6: Deputy Commissioner East Siang, Tayi Taggu, reviewed the status of ongoing Central and State sponsored schemes implemented by all the government departments today, while chairing the District Level Vigilance Committee meeting cum E-Pragati Review Meeting here today. He took stock of the education and health sector, infrastructure, connectivity and power, agri-allied, sericulture, sericulture sector, livelihood, skill development, smart city projects etc.
He asked the HoDs to submit the achievements and the challenges faced by the respective departments during ground level implementations. He also stressed on consultation with PRI members during formulation of Village Action Plan to meet up the development requirements at the grass-root level.
The DC also called for timely 100% saturation of beneficiary related activities and stressed on timely and quality of work completion. Efforts should be made to go the extra mile to help out the beneficiaries particularly from rural areas and urban poor in availing subsidy schemes, particularly as many face problems in matters of  paper works for loan sanctioning.
The DC also asked to step up awareness and mobilize the community in generating awareness on schemes like AP Vidya Scheme for Girl students.  Under this Scheme Girl Child after passing Class V and enrolled in  Class VI in State Government Schools is entitled to get Rs.10000 (Ten Thousand) as fixed deposit in her bank account  to  be able to withdraw after completing Class XII to promote Girls education.
The DC also sought to know the self- employment and other employment trades taken up by youth and trainees after taking up skill development training in various trades and asked for follow up action after the completion of training period.
