Yupia, Jun 17: A coordination meeting of engineering departments under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Papum Pare, Vishakha Yadav, was held at Yupia, on Tuesday. Representatives from various engineering departments across the sub-divisions of Papum Pare attended the meeting.
The meeting focused on reviewing the progress and challenges of developmental projects implemented within the district. DC Yadav conducted a comprehensive assessment of ongoing initiatives, completed works, and future plans presented by the participating departments.
In her address, Yadav emphasised the importance of clear communication to address project bottlenecks and ensure timely delivery of infrastructure improvements. She stressed the adoption of robust, durable designs tailored to local conditions for sustainable development.
While appreciating progress in specific areas, the DC urged departments to enhance the pace of implementation and uphold greater accountability. She also announced her intention to convene a follow-up meeting to evaluate tangible progress and directed all departments to demonstrate visible outcomes in their respective sectors.
The meeting featured presentations from the Public Health Engineering and Water Supply (PHE&WS), Electrical, Urban Development, Public Works (PWD), and Water Resources Development (WRD) departments,  offering a comprehensive overview of the district’s infrastructure projects.
Attendees included ADC (Hq) Tame Yajum, Executive Engineers of key departments, and other administrative officers.
