Pangin, Sep 26: Siang Deputy Commissioner Tayi Taggu, visited the Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Pangin, today to review its preparedness and functioning. The recently operationalised institute is scheduled to commence classes shortly with three courses, namely Digital Photography, Solar Technician, and Catering & Hospitality Services.
As part of the visit, the Deputy Commissioner also carried out surprise inspections at Government Primary School, Bibok, Government Secondary School, Pangin, and Government Higher Secondary School, Pangin. Instances of teachers remaining absent without prior permission were noted. The Deputy Commissioner instructed the teaching staff to discharge their duties with sincerity and diligence and urged them to ensure improved academic performance. He also interacted with students and encouraged them to pursue their studies with seriousness.
Further, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the Community Health Centre, Pangin, where cases of absenteeism among medical officers were observed. He directed the medical staff to maintain punctuality and remain available at their respective postings so as to provide proper and timely healthcare services to the public.
Taggu reiterated that education and health are priority sectors for the district administration and assured that regular monitoring will be undertaken to ensure accountability and effective service delivery. (DIPRO)
