TEZU, Jul 27:Deputy Commissioner Lohit, Danish Ashraf along with Gautam Hazarika SDO and Duyu Ribya EAC  (Jud), Tezu visited District Jail at Tezu, today to know the status of the Jail and to take stock of the problems, if any, that are being faced by the Convicted Prisoners and Under Trial Prisoners detained in the Jail.

While visiting the inmate cells, the convicts/UTPs placed certain problems like regular and short supply of sanitary items, provision of fans, etc. The DC assured to take up the matter with higher authority concerned for immediate solution. The team also visited the Women Cell within the Jail premises.

The DC-cum-DM has asked the DSP  (Prison) to submit a detailed report at the earliest mentioning all the problems and shortage of the inmates as well as of the Jail, which will be forwarded to the higher authority concerned for taking up the matter with the State Government.
