Itanagar, May 19: Deputy Commissioner Itanagar Capital Complex, Talo Potom distributed to ration items to ASHA Bhawan, a drug rehabilitation centre at Banderdewa.
The ration items have been donated  by  social activist and progressive farmer Likha Maj and Corporator of ward no 20, Arun Kipa Loram. The items were received by  In-charge of ASHA Bhawan Rajiv Bhattacharjee.
The CO Banderdewa Ritu Tawe informed that the  centre runs on voluntary donations by good minded people. Since the centre was running out of rations due to lockdown and shortage of fund, DA team headed by DC  took the initiative for the donation today.
Later, the DC also interacted with the officials posted at the Banderdewa Check gate and took stock of their functioning. Also as a gesture to motivate the uniformed personnel working on ground braving the rains, the DC also distributed umbrellas to them which were again donated by Likha Maj.
District Administration has requested such like minded people to come forward and help those in need.
