TEZU, Aug 21:Expressing disappointment over the immunization coverage of Lohit district which is at just 56.5 per cent, Deputy Commissioner Karma Leki has asked the concerned officials to find the reason for the underperformance.
He instructed DRCHO to conduct awareness programme in villages. He suggested that concerned PRI member and Gaon Burahs of the area be included in the awareness programme for more credibility.
The DC was chairing a meeting of District Task Force on Immunization conducted here today which was attended by DMO, DRCHO and MO in-charges of Medo, Sunpura and Wakro.
DRCHO further informed that Intensified Mission Indradhanush, which aims to achieve full immunization by 2018, will be launched in October this year. Lohit District will be targeted under Intensified Mission Indradhanush, he said.
He requested the entire MO in-charges of all PHCs, CHCs and District Hospital Tezu to keep Adverse event following immunization (AEFI) Kit ready.
