Yupia, Jan 18: District Task Force for Immunization (DTFI) meeting for IMI, IPPI and COVID-19 vaccination was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Minga  Sherpa, to discus and review their preparedness in Papum Pare District.
Reviewing the status of COVID-19 vaccination, the DC appreciated the untiring effort put forward by the health officials of the district in fighting against Coronavirus and said that amid Omicron scare we have to continue our fight  and there is need to expedite the pace of vaccination which is the only way to curb the spread of COVID-19.
Speaking about improving the performance of vaccination target in the district, he stressed upon adopting a systematic approach  by compiling list of all eligible beneficiaries including  healthcare workers and frontline workers for ongoing COVID-19 vaccine and  precautionary booster  dose to ensure maximum coverage.  
Further, for 15 to 18 years vaccination programme, the DC instructed the health authorities to organise special vaccinations camps in schools especially for 9 to 12 standard students and encourage eligible students to get themselves vaccinated in designated COVID Vaccination Centres(CVCs). He also directed DDSE to coordinate with DMO and his team  and to inform all concerned school authorities to support and cooperate with health officials in organising the camp.
In the meantime, the DC also highlighted  about various aspects ofAyushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (ABPM-JAY) directed health department to intensify IEC activities across the district to create awareness among people to enroll themselves under ABPM-JAY scheme.
Superintendent of Police Dr. Neelam Nega who was also  present informed that Police personnel at various check gates have been directed to  check vaccination status of all entrants on regular intervals . He further requested the health officials  to conduct special camps for vaccination and ABPM-JAY enrolment for Police personnel and assured all possible assistance from Police department during the time of need.
DRCHO Dr. Neyang Nitik and MOi/c CHC Sagalee Dr.Nyodu gave power point presentation on COVID-19 Vaccination status in Papum Pare District, National Immunization and  Intensified  Mission Indradhanush(IMI) respectively. DSO(IDSP) Dr. R.R Ronya briefly  informed the house about  COVID-19 Cases in the district and requested the  MO i/cs of all health facility to restart Flu Clinics. DIPRO
