TAWANG, Jul 7: A coordination meeting with all the Head of offices of Tawang district including ADC Jang and Lungla was today called by the Deputy Commissioner, Tawang, Kanki Darang. The coordination meeting was also attended by MLA Tsering Tashi and Zila Chairperson Leki Gombu.
In his address to the officers, the DC said that government servant should be sincere in delivering services to the public. It must be ensured that the benefits of every welfare scheme and developmental activities initiated by the government reach the last man in the queue, he said.
The ZPC while welcoming the new DC sought his cooperation and guidance for developmental activities at the grassroot level through Panchayati Raj institutions.
MLA Tashi, assured his support and cooperation to the district administration. He informed that the team of officers of Tawang district are sincere and capable to take any responsibility. This coordination meeting will familiarise the new Deputy Commissioner about ongoing developmental activities in the district. He said that though there are shortage of officers and officials but we have to make best and judicious utilisation of available resources. Developmental activity is a never ending process and it shouldn't be hampered with minor excuses. He stressed on giving more active and dedicated effort towards awareness on drug menace in the district. The local MLA also discussed about, proper documentation of government land and buildings by concerned departments, traffic congestion in the township area,maintenance of good quality in developmental works by executing agencies and irregular power supply. To enhance the better quality of education he encouraged the local officers to visit the schools adopted by them in villages and continue the earlier system of conducting cleanliness drives in every colony.
During the open discussion, the officers apprised about the issues related to their department concerned and sought suggestions and directions.
