PASIGHAT, Mar 18:

 

Deputy Commissioner East Siang, Tamiyo Tatak has called upon the HoDs to come up with innovative ideas / proposals in the Perspective Action Plans of their respective departments, so that a holistic and integrated roadmap for the district can be formulated for the speedy and all round growth.

 

The DC also called for taking up Biometric enrollment and Adhaar card seeding with bank accounts on a war footing, so that all beneficiaries avail CSS schemes through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) while reviewing its status.

The meeting chaired here on Friday, was attended by HoDs of all Departments and also representatives of Banks including Apex Bank. 
 

The DC during his interaction asked to tap the potentials of their sectors. Sectors like Tourism, Agri and allied can explore various potentials for creating livelihood opportunities for the youth and the farmers. We must promote to make our district a fully organic district as envisaged by the State, he enthused.

 Banks have a pivotal role to play in Adhaar Card seeding, DC emphasized and sought their support in creating awareness among the people particularly in rural areas in terms of wider publicity and awareness campaigns in close coordination with the district administration.
