ITANAGAR, Jun 22: The Arunachal State Badminton Association (ASBA) in collaboration with the directorate of sports and youth affairs is all set to conduct the 5^th edition of Dorjee Khandu Memorial State Open Badminton Championship-2017 from August 2-6 next in the state capital.

The dates of the tournament were decided on Wednesday last during an executive body meeting of the ASBA which was chaired by association joint secretary (tournament) Nich Bapu.

The games of the coveted badminton championship which will be held in five categories – under-10, under-13, under-15, under-17, under-19 and open for boys and girls would be played out at the Raj Bhawan and MLA cottage badminton courts.

All the entries of players would be done online and accordingly the last date of entry has been fixed for July 31 next. It was also informed that the entries of the players would have to be done through an ASBA affiliated district badminton association.

Meanwhile, ASBA vice president Tame Phassang and secretary Bamang Tago have been selected as the organizing chairman and secretary of the tournament respectively.
