DAMBUK, Aug 6: MLA cum Adviser to Minister Rural Development & PR, Gum Tayeng today visited a number of health centres in Dambuk assembly constituency like Meka Sub-Centre, PHCs Jia and Bolung and Community Health Centre Parbuk to make an assessment of the developmental works financed through MLALAD funds.
Earlier in June during the pandemic, the MLA after observing the requirements and necessities of the health centres in her home constituency sanctioned Rs 50 lakh from the MLALAD quota. Speaking on the occasion, she expressed gratitude to the health officials of Jia, Meka, Bolung and Parbuk for judiciously using the funds allotted for the improvement of health facilities in their respective health centres. “I had observed that the health infrastructure in my constituency was overwhelmed and are under dilapidated conditions. Keeping in view of the need to continue the fight against COVID-19 pandemic and the need to further support and improve the existing healthcare facilities of my constituency amid the unprecedented health crisis, I decided allocate an amount of Rs. 50 lakhs for the greater interest of the area’s people,” the MLA said, while reiterating her commitment to prioritise health and education sectors.
