KHONSA, Jun 19:  A district level coordination meeting to review the academic
performance and achievement of 2017-18 was jointly organized by the
Department of Education and Tirap district administration today.

Chairing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner, PN Thungon urged the
Principals, Headmasters and Teachers In-Charges of various government
schools to create a positive learning environment for students.
He also called for involving students in Sports, Arts, Cultural
programme and Social service etc, apart from academics especially in
village schools.
The DC urged the teaching community to re-dedicate themselves to be
sincere, pro-active and be role models both for the students and
society.
He also assured that such quarterly and midterm review would be
conducted to assess the academic performance of individual schools.

He later also apprised about the revised guidelines for the national
award for teachers 2017 and urged them to upload self nominations in
this regard.
