Itanagar, Apr 4: A meeting was convened on Monday by ADC Shweta Nagarkoti at the conference hall of DC Capital Itanagar to initiate a data collection drive of all the widows residing within the capital region in collaboration with Oju Welfare Association (OWA), Women Helpline and students pursuing internship at OWA. 
The main objective of the initiative is to inform the widows and to help them avail several state and centrally sponsored welfare schemes.
The data collection drive will be done by  Oju team and interns from April 4-10 next, at various sectors and colonies of Itanagar, Naharlagun, Doimukh, Nirjuli and Banderdewa.On completion of data collection, the report shall be analysed and accordingly an awareness camp will be conducted.
Earlier, a meeting was conducted by Chairperson, OWA, Smti. Ratan Anya, at her office chamber on 2nd April last with Women Helpline and interns, to discussed on the target group, area and duration of the drive for further discussion with the ADC.
