UA Minister inspects burial ground, focuses on maintenance and improvement
Ziro, Feb 4: Deputy Commissioner, Lower Subansiri District, Oli Perme convened a preparatory meeting at District Secretariat, Ziro to review and plan arrangements for the upcoming 40th Statehood Day celebration.
During the meeting, Perme briefed the agenda and highlights of previous Statehood Day celebrations and encouraged all members to come forward with innovative ideas and suggestions to make this landmark celebration more colourful, inclusive and meaningful.
In view of the ongoing grass carpeting work at Padi Yubbe Outdoor Stadium, the General Ground of Dani Kunya Government Higher Secondary School, Ziro, was finalised as the venue for the 40th Statehood Day celebrations.
Expressing serious concern over the recent and repeated fire incidents in the district, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Fire Department to set up a dedicated stall focusing on fire safety awareness for the general public. In addition, the Police Department, District Disaster Management Authority and Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM) also decided to open awareness and information stalls during the celebration.
Perme further instructed all Heads of Departments to recommend deserving names for district-level awards to recognise and encourage officials and members of the public for their outstanding contributions and services to the valley.
Zilla Parishad Chairperson Hibu Dumi, Superintendent of Police Keni Bagra, along with other Heads of Departments, shared their views and provided valuable inputs to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the celebrations.
The meeting was attended by administrative officers, all Heads of Departments, Zilla Parishad Members (ZPMs) and representatives of various NGOs.
