Itanagar, Jun 19: A meeting in connection with the preparation of the District Environment Plan and Environment Management Plan in respect of Capital Itanagar was convened today by Deputy Commissioner Capital Itanagar Talo Potom with all the HoDs and stakeholders.
The DC urged all to cooperate and work in coordination with each other so that the data required for the DEP is completed on time. Terming DEP as a very important aspect for the protection of the environment, the DC also urged all to take the work assigned to each department seriously.
Earlier, Tamo Dadda EAC, Nodal Officer informed that the DEP is required to identify key environmental issues within the district and to strategise and plan for implementation and completion of projects listed under it.
N Meji Scientist APSPCB presented a brief presentation about the District Environment Plan and the details oh the data sought from each department.
Among others, SP Capital Jimmy Chiram, ADC Shweta Nagarkoti and other HoDs of various department attended the meeting.
