Itanagar, Oct 27: An emergency meeting was held on Wednesday at the Mini Secretariat Naharlagun presided by Deputy Commissioner Capital Itanagar, Talo Potom to discuss various issues in connection with the massive fire accident in the Naharlagun daily market that took place in the early hours of October 25 in which hundreds of shops and market sheds were gutted in the inferno.
After detailed discussion, all present stressed that detailed investigation to be carried out by SP Capital to unearth the real cause of the fire accident in the Naharlagun daily market. 
It was also decided that immediate relief to the affected shopkeepers/ vendors should be disbursed by the District Administration at the earliest possible time in collaboration with Arunachal Chamber of Commerce, Naharlagun Bazaar Welfare Committee and representatives of the affected vendors. 
It was also decided that a temporary daily market near helipad ground to be developed on war footing to accommodate the affected vendors and the construction of the new market building to be started immediately. 
The meeting was attended by MLA Techi Kaso, Mayor Tame Phassang, Corporators, SP Jimmy Chiram, ADC Jiken Bomjen, Commissioner IMC Likha Teji, CEO Smart City Dahey Sangno, EAC Naharlagun Likha Radh and President of Arunachal Chamber of Commerce, Bazar Welfare Committee and members of the market. The incident site was visited today by the Advisor to CM cum MLA Tanpho Wangnaw , MLA Techi Kaso, Mayor Tame Phassang, Secretary Disaster Management Dani Salu, DC Capital Itanagar Talo Potom during which they had a detailed meeting at Police Station with the affected victims.

 The Advisor to CM assured that all possible help would  be provided by the state government to the victims. 
MLA and Mayor also assured all possible cooperation from their end.
The DC informed them that a loss assessment committee under the chairmanship of Jiken Bomjen ADC Capital Itanagar has been constituted and is in the process of receiving applications and uploading in the PFMS portal to provide immediate relief assistance to the victims as per the SDRF norms.
