Yupia, Jun 3: The Papum Pare District Administration led by Deputy Commissioner Sachin Rana, today handed over Rs Eight Lakhs to the beneficiaries of Puroik community under Livelihood Generation Activities Scheme for establishment and running of small businesses like garment shop, meat shop and grocery and vehicle procurement etc.
The DC interacted with the beneficiaries and also gave suggestions on utilising the fund properly to be profitable in future. He also directed the Nodal Officer to ensure the beneficiaries utilize the fund properly. The beneficiaries were encouraged to employ more people in their enterprises, with special emphasis on the Puroik community unemployed youths. Each beneficiary was given a sum of Rupees Two lakhs.
