Daporijo, Feb 13: The Upper Subansiri District Administration carried out an eviction drive at the airfield area of Daporijo town on Thursday to remove illegal structures erected by members of the local public in the vicinity of the airfield.
The eviction operation was conducted smoothly under the leadership of the Town Magistrate, Ama Nungnu with active support from the police team led by Runa Dada (SI).The exercise was also coordinated with the help of Tapu Haning, PRO NHAI. 
All unauthorized and illegal structures located near the airfield area were successfully evacuated and cleared during the drive. The operation was carried out peacefully and without any untoward incident, ensuring maintenance of law and order throughout the process.
The District Administration reiterates its commitment to enforcing government regulations, safeguarding public land, and ensuring planned development in and around Daporijo town. The general public is once again advised to refrain from encroaching upon government land or constructing unauthorized structures, failing which strict action will be taken as per law. DIPRO
