PASIGHAT, Aug 19:
Taking note of the health hazard posed by pigsty, broiler houses and open latrine pits, the East Siang District Administration, has directed the citizens including government employees to remove such structures from their homes and quarters within Pasighat. The move is also with the view to promote the goal of Clean Pasighat under the Swacch Bharat Mission.
While informing of surprise visits to check the localities, the administration has cautioned defaulters of action.
The order comes close at the heels as residential areas are being used for rearing animals and poultry, leading to unhygienic condition which the administration fears may lead to disease outbreak.
