LEKHI, Mar 21: Two mountaineers from Uttar Pradesh – Priya Kumari and Pradeep Kumar – who are on a bicycle tour to all the Northeastern states of India, reached Lekhi village here on Thursday.
The primary objective of the duo’s expedition is to raise awareness about ‘menstrual health and hygiene’. The expedition is assisted by Goonj NGO.
Priya Kumari is a Rani Laxmibai Awardee and Fit India Brand Ambassador, while her partner Pradeep Kumar is also a cycling enthusiast who creates awareness on social issues through his tours.
The duo interacted with the female students and faculty members of Arunodaya University (AU) here on ‘menstrual health and hygiene’.
AU pro-chancellor Dr. V.N. Sharma felicitated the duo in the presence of other faculty members of the university.
