ITANAGAR, Feb 10: Chief Secretary, Dharmendra, was apprised on the status of Aspirational District Program during a review meeting with all HoDs and officers of the district at Namsai.
Stating that the education sector is yet to improve post covid, he urged the DC to curate plans to improve education scenario and learning outcome. “Education sector needs intervention, the quality of education being imparted needs to be assessed for which expert opinion may be sought from specialised organisations”, he said.
He took stock of the progress of Amrit Sarovar sites and other developmental projects in the district.
Acknowledging the scope for improving the veterinary sector, he urged DVO to organise the sector. Responding to the districts issue on HR shortage, the CS on his part assured to discuss and endorse the matter for proper solution.
Namsai DC, C.R Khampa highlighted the shortcomings and problems being faced in the district. Infrastructure and HR gap in medical, veterinary and other sectors were apprised. 
DPO, Dr. K. Sharma gave a detailed presentation on Niti Ayog’s Aspirational District Program. He informed that the district had consistently performed well across all basic parameters of ADP. Speaking on the education sector he informed that to build competitiveness amongst students regular olympiads were being organised in schools.
He ensured that a letter will be written to Piramal Foundation to assess the progress of learning outcome in schools.
