ITANAGAR, Mar 7: The Central Reserve Police Force 138 Battalion organized a civic action programme on Tuesday at  Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Palin. The battalion constructed toilets and repaired water supply. 
Deputy Commissioner Kra Daadi, Higio Tala, Commandant 138 Bn HS Kales, and other dignitaries from the  civil administration and local public and children were present during programme. The deputy commissioner  appreciated the CRPF for always lending their hands for the welfare of the  local people wherever they are deployed. He urged the students to pay attention to hygiene and sanitation and to inculcate the habit of reading to enhance knowledge to build their future.
The Commandant 138 Bn in his address, informed that CRPF conducts such programmes regularly and distributes daily life essentials to locals as per their requirement to build a strong bond with the security forces and to develop a sense of belongingness. He said the CRPF is determined to serve society right from law and order issue to all other fronts. He also appealed to the children and locals to participate with CRPF in Azadi ka Mahotsav, Swachhta Abhiyan and say ‘No-to-drugs’ campaign and fight against drug abuse in  society.
