ITANAGAR, Mar 21: The Confederation of Service Associations of Arunachal Pradesh (CoSAAP) Tuesday afternoon suspended its ongoing non-cooperation movement following the assurance that the Chief Minister will hold a discussion on March 29 next to address their demands. The CEC CoSAAP however reiterated that the pen and tools down strike will resume on March 30 next if the meeting fails to yield result.

The development comes as the Chief Secretary today held a meeting with CEC CoSAAP at her office which was attended by Principal Secretary (Home, Pers, AR&T and Vigilance),Secretary to Chief Minister and a

22-member CoSAAP delegation headed by President, Pate Marik.

During the interaction, the CS informed that Chief Minister Pema Khandu is genuinely concerned about employees pending demands and assured to discuss all the demands raised by CoSAAP  in the meeting scheduled for March 29 next.

The Chief Secretary also expressed regret that order for modification of NOC in the matters of promotion and retirement and review of Lateral Entry system in APCS (EG) should have been issued by now, since these have been recommended by High Power Committee headed by Principal Secretary (Home, Pers, AR&T and Vigilance). In this regard, Chief Secretary has assured to issue modification order on NOC matters shortly.
